This is an almost wild vineyard with the wild life and cover crops mimicking the forest of the nearby Szelevényi nature reserve

It's not made in every vintage

The Gevrey-Chambertin by Jean-Claude Rateau is from two small parcels in "Aux Etelois" (below Grand Cru Griottes)  and "les Epointures" (below 1er Cru Clos Prieur) on the more fine and aromatic side of Gevrey

She also experimenting because she feels that we still don't know what Vermont and the grapes that thrive there can do yet

but it was in the Loire Valley with Rene Mosse where the bug bit hard
