This pose represents the unity of male compassion and female wisdom, essential for achieving enlightenment. Raktayamari is a a deity known as a yidam who presides over the great tantras, and subdues death and inner delusions. Raktayamari's name literally means the "Red Enemy of Yama" and is a form of Yamntaka. Both Raktayamari and his consort
