The rosewood seed drills are usually from Kerala in South India. In Gujarat, they're called orani () and would have been used to sow seeds in the fields. The carvings have been softened through over 100 years of repeated daily use. We have left these seed drills unwaxed for a more rustic feel. Like many things in India, seed drills were made for a
