Light, but well made, this Japanese tansu has its original black painted iron fittings. Isho Dansu were made as clothing chest of drawers for storage of expensive clothing and garments. This tansu is made in the traditional Isho Dansu style in 2 parts with 4 drawers. Although this could be older, we believe this Japanese tansu to date from the Taish
