It measures 3" at its widest (sides) and the ends taper down to 3 4" wide. A bow is tied to the top of the headband and glued down on each side. The headband inside, which is made from a pliable and soft plastic, measure 14. 5" end to end. It's tight enough for a good grip but loose enough to avoid headaches.
