Gilt Bronze Thai Standing Buddha - Early Rattanakosin Damchiya Sideboards This rustic Mongolian sideboard isThis fine Thai standing bronze Buddha is cast standing in samabhanga with hands in abhayamudra dispelling fear and anxiety. The figure of Buddha is made in has hallmarks of the Ayuthaya style but is likely later, probably early Rattanakosin period (1782 1932) circa 1800. with a regal appearance, his earlobes hanging long in a princely fashion. He is on a lotus base placed on a stepped circular pedestal. A truly beautiful example of Buddhist art.
