Locomotives are DC powered, but can use any 6 pin decoder to convert to DCC. Units feature sharp painting and printing, great detail, Smooth drive, knuckle couplers and optional add on details. This was a special run from a few years ago. We keep a handful back as warranty units. After 2 3 years with no issues, they are made available
