The menu would have been very recently post Prohibition since it offers beers as well as many ginger ales, waters and sparkling grape juices. The hotel was completed in 1905 under the direction of architect Albert Kahn, a German immigrant who pioneered a new type of construction that used reinforced concrete in buildings
