This antique tile attributed to Gilliot and Cie Hemixem in Antwerp Belgium dates to the beginning of the 20th Century
Geometric Quilt Design Tile by Mosaic Neoclassical Meissen Germany about 1900This tile with a geometric design was made by the Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville Ohio. Made to look like a quilt, it has images of thistles and fleur de lis in soft tones. Made from a faience clay it measures 6" x 6" x 1 2" thick. Marked "MADE IN USA" in an oval, a mark used from the 1950s, on the back. Excellent condition.
