Ahlfeld worked the San Jose mine and Itos mine (the other significant Andorite locality at the same mountain in Oruro) when the mines were used predominantly as a major source of tin to the United States during WWII
but it's still a nice little representation of this classic material

Microcline (var: Amazonite) type locality green color (partially iron-coated)Here we have a well formed, sharp, good blue green color prismatic crystal of Amazonite with a slight "white cap" termination. The left edge of the crystal has a contact, but overall, the piece is in good shape. From the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904 1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936.
