Pachypodium brevicaule Big plant on own roots! (B) Mesemb The skin is blue-green andPachypodium brevicaule Family: Apocynaceae. The smallest and most unusual of all Pachypodiums. It only grows a few inches tall but spreads horizontally forming a clump a foot or more across in time. The flowers are yellow. This is a slow growing species, but a very rewarding one to grow. Not difficult to grow. Can survive temps down to (but not below) freezing, but prefers it a bit warmer in winter if possible (that is true for all Pachypodiums).
