Sugrue South Downs, Rose Ex Machina, 2018 *Good Stock this is a great foodThis wine is screaming with red cherry, strawberry, raspberry but with the savoury notes from Pinot Noir coming through on the finish. Its frothy but precise, rich but fresh, a real triumph from Sugrue. In 2018 Sugrue did a risky green harvest but there is no doubt it has paid off and allowed the vines to put all their energy into produce the quality of fruit needed to make a wine of this calibre. It isnt often that you get to taste cellar aged
