Gladding McBean Hobo Cat Tile Trivet frog This dramatic art deco era

This dramatic art deco era tile was made at the Franklin Tile Company (1923-1935) in Lansdale PA

appears to have been cut out with a tile saw and the back mortar ground down

Ready to hang

Attributed to Sherwin Cotton the only other mark on the back is "ENGLAND"

It is signed W Wise in the lower left corner

It shows an a cat dressed cooking a fish over an open fire. Great colors, just look at that purple can! The octagonal tiles edges are stepped down in an Art Deco style. It measures 6" X 6"and remains in excellent unused condition.
