The painting shows the "Red Horse Tavern," which is in operation today and is called Longfellow's Wayside Inn. It's located in Sudbury, Massachusetts. When it was built, the Boston Post Road ran right past it. (I've included a present day photo of the Inn with the product photos.) Oil on canvas stretched over board and mounted in cleated wooden frame. Signed by the artist, A. Lassel Ripley, 1942 and titled
