The piece is robust, showy, sculptural and reminds me of a big, spiked club or mace with it protruding pointed octahedral faces which are flaring out of a beautiful elongated "Spinel" twin at the base. The combination of the incredibly well formed faces against the skeletal "hoppered" formations of the twin itself is striking and very well pronounced in this specimen. You
