This hand colored lithograph shows American, British and Hessian soldiers in hand to hand combat at the Siege of Yorktown. The Library of Congress lists the date as 1840; Mount Vernon lists it as 1855. Printed at the bottom left corner of the image: "Paris, V. Turgis, editeur, rue Serpente, 10 et a New York, 300." On the bottom right corner of the image: "Lith. de Turgis, a Paris."
