Sugar and Spice Installation Edited by photo critic KōtarōGirls, girls, girls! The first edition of Sugar and Spice was published in 2000, capturing the essence of the late 90s in Japan. Featuring over sixty teenager portraits shot by Ninagawa Mika in her signature saturated and psychedelic colours, this book was released in the midst of two movements that emerged in Tokyo at the time diaristic snapshot photography and girly photo sharing a personal vision and quest of queendom and intimacy, while taking
