Domaine Fourrier, Griotte Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru, 2001 female winemaker with notes of red fruitDomaine Fourrier farms a tiny 0. 26 hectare slice of Griotte Chambertin, planted in the 1920s. The 2001 vintage reflects Jean Marie Fourriers early work: old vine fruit, minimal intervention, and total vineyard expression. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in used oak, its a transparent Grand Cru Burgundy from a balanced vintage. A rare, fully mature bottle from one of Gevreys most respected growers.
