Famille Messager-Germain, Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Herbues, 2023 outofstock-15116337209 adding further sophisticationA 2023 Pinot Noir from the north of the Nuits Saint Georges appellation, planted on marly limestone soils similar to Vosne Romane. Harvested by hand with 30% whole bunches and given a cool 5 day pre fermentation maceration, the wine spent 12 months aging in oak (30% new) and was left unfiltered. Rose, violet, lavender and spice characterize the nose, while silky tannins frame fresh red fruit on a lifted, elegant palate with mineral persistence.
