A Close Combat Clasp, Silver Grade, by Friedrich Linden of Lüdenscheid - 3rd Pattern with Crimped Hardware and Fluted Pin Auction Archive (Brieftaubenwesen Verdienstmedaille)(Nahkampfspange in Silber). Instituted November 25th, 1942 (Mid to Late War Issue). A vaulted example, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a central square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade situated over a hollow void, flanked on each side by four oak leaves and sun rays interspersed with two acorns, the reverse with a magnetic square block
