Germany, Heer. A Kuban Shield, Heer Issue Newly Listed one showing Heinz-Günther’s wife(Kubanschild). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1943, fixed with all four attachment prongs to a field grey wool liner with a light brown paper backer, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 16 mm (w) x 61. 62 mm (h), in near mint condition.
