The purpose of the ballast is to limit the current that is allowed to pass through the lamps at any given time so that they do not overheat and self destruct. The simple device can control 1 or 2 lamps, as desired. All fluorescent lamps are sold separately. The Keystone ballast operates at a range of voltages from a low of 120 volts to a maximum of 277 volts. It
