Constructed of gilded brass, the obverse consisting of a vaulted and crowned griffin wielding a sword and shield bearing a Baden coat of arms, situated above a plaque bearing an inscription of MIT GOTT F. FUERST U. VATERLAND (WITH GOD FOR PRINCE AND FATHERLAND), the reverse with two threaded screw posts retaining original nuts, unmarked, measuring 12. 5 cm (w) x 11 cm (h), in better than very fine condition.
