Constructed of nickel plated metal, the obverse overlaid by a brass insignia in the form of an eight pointed starburst, in turn bearing an SA style German national eagle clutching a wreathed sunwheel style swastika, surrounded by a ribbed ring overlaid across the bottom by oak leaf branches, the top corners bearing brass rosettes, the reverse with dual tangs and a loop, retaining a classic double link neck
