Constructed of a black painted octagonal wooden base, the obverse bearing a silvered bronze tablet featuring the names of the NSDAP members killed during the Beer Hall Putsch, topped by a NSDAP style German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed swastika, above inscriptions of UND IHR HABT DOCH GESIEGT (YET THEY WERE STILL VICTORIOUS) and MAHNMAL MNCHEN (MUNICH MEMORIAL), with a magnetic metal suspension
