A German Mother's Cross; Gold Grade With Case Auction Archive inscribed "VERMÄHLT 1 MAY 1794Two piece construction, bronze with a gold coloured gilt and enamels, 35. 3 mm x 42. 8 mm, on full length ribbon, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, gilt Mother's Cross on the lid, maker marked "Alois Rettenmaier Schwb. Gmnd." on the inside lid, scuffing and wear on the exterior, case near very fine.
