Constructed of glazed white porcelain, the obverse depicting a finely detailed depiction of Eltz Castle executed in hand painting over a transfer outline, the revere bearing a hand painted caption of BURG ELTZ, above a date of DEC. 95, a makers mark of VILLEROY & BOCH, METTLACH, with other stamped codes also visible, with two eyelets perforated into the base ring for the accommodation of a hanger, measuring 31 cm in diameter,
