Constructed of slate grey painted bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval chain link wreath, around a central raised anchor overlaid by crosses swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 40. 20 mm (w) x 46. 40 mm (h), weighing 8. 8 grams, with only minor loss of finish evident, in extremely fine condition.
